Sugarplum Fairy - Ohrwurm der Woche!

Die allwöchentliche Musikrundschau ist wieder da. 

Ja, mit drei Tagen Verspätung.

Montag ist Musiktag. 

Da ist nämlich die neue Musik durchgehört.

Doch nun zum Ohrwurm der Woche!!!

Sugarplum Fairy

Der Name eine Hommage an die Beatles.

Die Herkunft Schweden als eines

der musikträchtigsten Länder.

Nach längerem Unbekanntsein, kam 2004 der erste

kleine Druchbruch mit der ,,Stay Young EP",
auf  welche 2006 das zweite Album folgte.

Dies brachte der Band erstmals auch in Deutschland

deutliches Gehör.

Das teilweise mit Mando Diao in Verwechslung stehende Bandimage

ist nicht unbegründet.

Carl Noren (Sugarplum Fairy) ist der Bruder von Gustaf Noren, 

Sänger bei Mando Diao.

Weshalb sich die musikalischen Einflüsse

vergleichen lassen können.

Ich habe beide Bands schon live gesehen...

und jede hat ein offenes Ohr verdient.

Ich fands gut!

Und nun mein Ohrwurm der Woche:

Wo wir gerade bei Carl Noren waren.

Er ist Sänger und Gitarrist der Band, sein weiterer Bruder

Viktor Noren ist auch vertreten, sowie

drei weitere Mitglieder.

Ich habe Carl auch schon Solo gesehen.

Es war eine seltsam tolle Stimmung.

Er war allein auf der Bühne mit Gitarre und Klavier

und seiner Stimme.

Manchmal ist er in Deutschland anzutreffen. 

Jedoch ist Schweden sein zuhause.

Und hier nur am Rande....live ist seine

Stimme echt gut, hat etwas leicht rauchiges

und zugleich zerbrechliches.

Ich bitte wie immer um eure Meinung.

Sugarplum Fairy

The bandname is an hommage to the Beatles.

Their music is often compared with

Mando Diao. 

Carl Noren, singer of Sugarplum Fairy,

is the brother of Gustaf Noren (Mando Diao).

So as you know, they are all comming from Sweden.
So their influences are comparable.

But now listen to My Sound of the Week!

Both bands i have seen live on tour till today.

Also Gusdaf Noren.

It was an incredible atmosphere.

His voice sounds breakable but almost hard enough.

And here i want you to show this swedish guy.

I saw him, standing alone on a big stage

with his guitar, piano and his voice.
